LITERACY VOLUNTEERS OF AMERICA - PRINCE WILLIAM
For 35 years, Literacy Volunteers of America- Prince William (LVA-PW) has helped adults in Prince William's County gain dignity. Equity and inspiration through the gift of literacy and health literacy.
Their mission is to provide free instruction that helps adults read, write, speak, and listen in English so they can achieve personal and employment goals, better support their families, and fully participate in their communities. LVA-PW envisions a county where adults are not held back by lower literacy or limited access to education or health information.
Their work is guided by values of equity, inclusion, and respect for the lived experiences of our learners.

What does it mean to be an AOLC beneficiary?
At Art of Life Charities, we are dedicated to improving the quality of life for residents in Virginia, Maryland, and D.C. by providing essential resources and support services. Our initiatives focus on promoting health & wellness, housing, food & clothing stability, and economic opportunity for underserved populations.
A beneficiary-hopeful must be a group or organization helping people that align with our mission and values and serve in our focus areas. AOLC supports other nonprofits and organizations in the Virginia, Maryland, and D.C. areas that help people with housing and food security, special health needs, mental health and wellness, equity and inclusion and more.
