A beneficiary-hopeful must be a group or organization helping people that align with our mission and values and serve in our focus areas. AOLC supports other nonprofits and organizations in the Virginia, Maryland, and D.C. areas that help people with housing and food security, special health needs, mental health and wellness, equity and inclusion and more.
HOW does my organization apply?
Our beneficiary application period for 2024 has ended. Please check back February 2024 for our 2025 beneficiary opportunity.

From the Boxes of Basics website:
"Our mission is to empower kids with seasonal wardrobes packed with love and compassion. We work with school counselors, social workers, faith leaders and human services agencies to provide children with stylish, quality clothing that will give kids confidence and help them thrive!
Boxes of Basics Serves Children in Greater Prince William County, The City of Manassas & The City of Manassas Park & several locations within Northern Virginia."
Virginia-based 501(c)3 nonprofit, Haymarket Regional Food Pantry's website states:
"Food insecurity and need can hit anyone; forcing people to choose between buying food and paying utilities, or parents not feeding themselves to make sure their children are fed first. It could be your neighbor, your child’s teacher, or someone you see every day. When food insecurity hits, we’re here to help."
"Since 2005, we’ve helped families in our communities get the food, essentials, and support they need right now. And because hunger doesn’t follow the calendar, we give food to those who need it every week. So, when our neighbors come to us for help, we say yes."
Therefore, it was an easy choice for AOLC to support this important cause!
Charlottesville, VA 501(c)(3), TA, provides greater accessibility to adaptive sports and adaptive outdoor adventures while emboldening those they serve with the courage to improve their functional independence, fitness and overall quality of life.
